8x10" Painting in Gouache on canvas paper set in a matted gold frame. (9x12")

My husband and I visited Napa for our anniversary and the views there are spectacular!. These paintings mark a little exploration into a new genre for me. Inspired by the Fauvist approach to color, I'm exploring how to capture not just the beauty of a landscape, but the feeling it leaves behind. In this piece, I leaned into the vibrant, unexpected color and expressive brushwork to convy the energy and wonder I experience there.
