MEET CLAIRE

Born and raised in Louisiana, I grew up watching my father paint, and that early inspiration led me to create from a young age. I fell in love with oil painting during my first studio class in college, and I’ve been exploring and evolving my style ever since.

In addition to painting, I’m a high school art teacher in Houston, TX. After 26+ years in the classroom, I still find so much joy in helping students discover the magic of making art.

I’m best known for my oyster paintings, but my work also includes botanicals, abstracts, and bold, colorful compositions that play with pattern and line.
