9x12" Acrylic on canvas paper set in a matted gold bamboo frame. (15x17") This was part of a study Claire painted while on an Art Retreat in upstate New York. This Iris study was a challenge given to Claire hoping to broaden her painting style. In this painting, Claire was challenged to paint the image in only an hour. With this time limitation, Claire did not focus on details but tried to capture only the essentials- value, color and form.
