Born and raised in Louisiana, I grew up watching my father paint and from this, I also felt a fervant desire to create as a child. It was my first studio oil painting class in college where I fell in love with the process of painting and since then, I continue to explore and discover new ways to improve my style.

Along with painting, I am a high school art teacher in Houston, TX.  After 24 years, teaching continues to give me immense joy. I treasure fostering the adolescent mind into loving the process of creating art.

I am best known for my oyster paintings, but I have expanded my collection to include various botanicals and abstract compositions. I love playing with bright colors, bold lines and a mixture of textures and painting techniques.
